JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacy Manager will plan, manage, coordinate and evaluate tasks and functions of the Clinical Pharmacists and lead and mentor Clinical Staff Pharmacists as their duties related to the practice of clinical pharmacy.

This will include all aspects of patient care from a clinical perspective and from an organizational perspective with programs and services having an impact on the safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness of drug therapy.

Consults with medical staff,

nursing staff and ancillary departments and serves as a resource for drug information.

Studies quality of care through Medication Usage Evaluation (MUE) and other research to take a leadership role in performance improvement and state-of-the-art medication management of patient care.

Maintains high level of professional conduct and effects appropriate interventions in guarding medication safety.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/LICENSING:
Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy with a PharmD degree; Residency and/or Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Services (BCPS) preferred. Must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Oregon. Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of five years experience in all phases of hospital pharmacy operation. One year or more of supervisory experience preferred; Lean/Six Sigma background preferred.
