The Project Coordinator II is responsible for receiving requests from the field for stone special orders. Communicates availability, determines landed costs based on shipping method, researches alternative products, and purchases products. Assists as needed in Stone Special Projects department.
Provides quotes and orders imported materials for direct shipments as requested through the SPP by the outside sales force.
Determines proper shipping mode (ocean full container, ocean LCL, truck, or air) to meet customer time/cost requirements based on product and project location. Provides shipping rates as requested on special needs projects.
Handles transfer of drawings between field and vendor. Insures vendor has approved drawings to produce project from.
Creates and maintains proper files on each project to insure easy availability of information.
Searches alternative product options when the requested product is unknown or not available.
Sets up SKU’s and pricing for special order items.
Follow up with field sales people to determine disposition of provided quotes.
Opens and catalogs incoming samples. Maintains sample and literature library.
Assists other Project Coordinators as time allows.
Communicates with vendors and freight forwarders (ocean, truck, and air) to insure smooth shipment of orders.
Keeps sales people advised of project status from order through delivery.
Performs other related duties as required.

Procures project information for fabrication and delivery.
Education and Knowledge:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred. Knowledge of tile and stone products.
3 years of planning or special order business experience.
Previous purchasing and inventory systems experience preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to be a team-player and work well with others. Ability to multi-task. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be detailed oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in word processing and spreadsheets. Salesforce.com preferred.
