Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support - adults with emotional, behavioral or medical complexities, and brain injury. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with REM Wisconsin you’ll be one of those special people.
REM Wisconsin is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)/Caregivers to provide assistance to adults with disabilities in a community-based setting.
Founded in 1980, The MENTOR Network is a national network of local human services providers offering an array of quality, community-based services in more than 30 states to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain and spinal cord injuries and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses, and to youth with emotional, behavioral and medically complex challenges as well as their families.
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- An insured vehicle
- Six months of experience in caregiving and/or human services preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Interest and willingness to work with challenging behaviors
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
