ERM seeks an experienced Technical Editor / Document Production Specialist to provide the entire range of publications support in ERM’s Anchorage, AK office. The ideal candidate is an organized professional able to apply self-initiative, a positive team attitude, technical aptitude and creativity in helping our Partners and Project Managers produce high-quality client deliverables and proposals. The successful candidate will be confident, service-oriented, and able to relate well with diverse groups of technical professionals. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with project teams to support QA/QC review and production of technical deliverables, business proposals, and other marketing materials.

Perform editorial review and formatting of technical documents (text, spreadsheets, slideshows) in accordance with ERM company and client-specific style guidelines.

Create and/or edit documents in MS 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

Manage multiple deadline-driven assignments.

Complete work assignments in accordance with ERM's management system, format and quality standards, and on schedule.

REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of relevant experience involving document review and production; experience in a professional services firm preferred.

Strong technical editing skills, preferably in environmental/engineering field, including excellent writing and grammar; ability to edit for accuracy, brevity, clarity, and consistency in accordance with ERM/client style guide standards.

Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

A portfolio or samples of previous work which demonstrate your skillset.

Acute attention to detail with a strong work ethic.

Capacity to work both as part of a team and be a self-starter.

Ability to be dependable, flexible and organized.

Aptitude to manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
