Sarah Lawrence College Visual Arts Department announces a one-year, half-time (2-day) guest faculty position to teach a Sustainable Architectural Design Studio. Position starts September, 2014. Strong professional and teaching experience required. Candidate would teach o|
ne studio class with a maximum of 15 students. In addition to class hours, teaching includes regularly scheduled individual conferences throughout the course with each student, a hallmark of Sarah Lawrence's educational system. Candidates should be prepared to teach an introductory course in sustainable architecture. Sustainable architecture can include many approaches and can be interdisciplinary. Students are liberal arts candidates with limited experience in design. The candidate will participate in the formation of a new architectural design initiative for an undergraduate studio program in a liberal arts curriculum.
