THE SCHOOL OF THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO is seeking a professional who creates and tracks targeted and relevant email communications and social media campaigns for the School of the Art Institute of Chicagos (SAIC) various departments and programs that effectively communicate, promote, and encourage interaction for SAICs internal and external information, programs and events. This position is also responsible for the development and coordination media site content to reinforce and enhance other email, communications, public affairs and media relations, and online initiatives to drive traffic to SAICs website and various events and initiatives, as well as supporting the work of the Communications team in building overall awareness of the School.

Mandatory Job Qualifications A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE Bachelors Degree in marketing, communications, PR or related field with emphasis in online design and e-communications preferred. 1-2 years of relevant professional experience. Creative, energetic, and knowledgeable about the latest email, social media and data integration best practices, and has a passion for demonstrating skill and precision in his/her work.

The ideal candidate:
- Strong knowledge of web and email design including CSS and HTML a must
- Experience working within CRM, content and asset management systems
- High proficiency working in Dreamweaver, Adobe CS Design suite, Word and Excel a must. Knowledge of Flash and Final Cut Pro helpful
- Strong creative skills and understanding of email and online content presentation best practices
- Experience working with database systems and data integration;
- Experience working with social media sites like FaceBook, Twitter, Flickr, LinkedIn, del.ioci.us, etc.;
- Experience optimizing images for online delivery. Video optimization experience and familiarity with Flash helpful
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, solve problems and take initiative
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and achieve results working through and with others
- Strong verbal and writing/editing skills
- An ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
- Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
- Comfort level with rapid change and fast paced environment
- Experience with brand/identity awareness and creativity initiatives preferred
