The EHR/Project Manager for the Froedtert Hospital Health Information Management Department (HIM Department) has direct responsibility for key projects delegated by the Director of Health Information Management for all eHIM issues including, but not limited to, electronic data integrity and maintaining all Master Files Provider databases. This position manages all IT responsibilities within the HIM Department and servces as the HIM liaison to all areas of the organization, including the IT Department and Project Management Office.
Education and Experience: Requires an Associate's (or 2 year) degree in HIM or equivalent and 5+ years of progressive HIM experience. Bachelor's degree in HIM or equivalent preferred. Experience typically acquired by a Bachelor's degree in HIM or equivalent (i.e., Healthcare Administration, Clinical Informatics) may be met by an Associate's degree in HIM plus 5+ years of progressive HIM experience.
Licenses, Registration & Certification: RHIA or RHIT and active membership in the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), with ongoing completion of current continuing education requirements. Will consider candidate with appropriate education and experience who is finishing their specific HIM education and AHIMA certification requirements (i.e., enrolled in an RHIA or RHIT program).
