Delaware North Companies is currently hiring a Restaurant General Manager to join their team in Houston, TX at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport . As a Restaurant General Manager , you will contribute to the growth and profitability of the company by supporting a profitable, customer focused and operationally strong restaurant. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of a full service, single unit operation, maintain positive client and customer relations by ensuring efficient, quality service and products, and supervise the activities of all restaurant staff.

  • Ensure effective operation of unit at all times, including coordinating and supervising hourly and salaried staff, and engaging staff in achieving operational/financial goals
  • Promote the quality campaign through fast and high quality support for customer needs, communicate the need and commitment for delivering exceptional customer experiences and adhering to quality standards for physical space, food and service
  • Sets and communicates sales and financial objectives by preparing informative financial and sales reports
  • Address problems immediately and through timely, informed decisions by considering the options that have the best effect on customers/associates/business
  • Maintain proper implementation of safety and sanitation procedures and ensure procedures are followed

  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in high volume, fast-paced, full service restaurant environment
  • Must be customer focused with knowledge in the front and back of the house
  • Ability to oversee and manage P&L responsibilities
  • Experience in food preparation, inventory and cost control
  • Proven track record with positive Health Department Scores
  • Familiarity with standard food and beverage equipment
  • Ability to perform basic accounting functions, analyze data and make decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience above the required minimum
