Direct the management and development of consumer marketing strategies, plans and advertising campaigns for Nicktoons and Nickelodeon animation and iconic properties, initiatives, and show launches. Responsible for leading the development and execution of series positioning, cross-department marketing programs, property and franchise stewardship, consumer products property support, and consumer/trade advertising initiatives. Director will interface with all external and internal stakeholders and resources to ensure strategic and creative consistency across departments and lines of business. The Director will provide comprehensive evaluations and recommendations for ongoing property development and opportunities.
This position reports to the Vice President, Nickelodeon Live Action & Animation Consumer Marketing.
Support Vice-President in the development and implementation of strategic plans to grow and promote Nickelodeon and Nicktoons animation properties, new show launches, and key initiatives across the entire organization.
Responsible for Nickelodeon properties short and long term planning. Direct the management of all property marketing and planning materials (e.g. brand plans, hot sheets, property strategy presentations, support materials for consumer products and ad sales)
Oversee and lead Nicktoons marketing, property positioning, partnerships, stunts, promotions, trade positioning and support.
Support consumer products and retail efforts for iconic properties and help align Nickelodeon resources around priority products and partnerships
Develop cross-platform plans to support key consumer products’ initiatives and provide property expertise to internal and external consumer products partners.
Represent Nicktoons and Animation property POV for any and all cross-business initiatives, ensuring strategic and creative consistency. Work closely with all internal departments: programming, production, on-air promotions, nick.com, digital, press, consumer products, recreation, and affiliate marketing.
Direct the management of external relationships with media buying and creative agencies
Direct the management of the property marketing budget, ensuring effective and economical allocation of resources.
Oversee Manager, Nicktoons and Nick Animation Marketing
7+ years consumer marketing experience within the entertainment/media/retail industry
Strong successful track-record in the development and implementation of major marketing/advertising initiatives.
Strong track-record as a leader with excellent project management and people management skills.
Strong strategic planning experience with solid organizational skills and the ability to troubleshoot and provide successful resolutions.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Highly skilled in navigating across multiple lines of businesses and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Strong knowlege of NICK brand, popular culture, trends and how it all interrelates.
Proven track record as a strategic and creative leader.
Extremely detail oriented.
