ASRC Primus, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, holds a nationwide
contract for library and records management services with the U. S.
Environmental Protection Agency. ASRC librarians, records managers and support staff collect, organize and maintain library and records materials; assist EPA and external customers with document delivery/ILL, reference and research services, etc .

Roles/Responsibilities:
″ Assist with reference desk duties; perform basic reference activities supporting EPA staff and the public.
″ Journal, document and book shelving on a weekly basis. File microfiche, move or retrieve books and journals from the main library to storage, or vice versa.
″ Process incoming items; update records in a local circulation database: DBText.
″ Process incoming and outgoing mail on a daily basis.
″ Maintain accurate records for acquisitions, interlibrary loan (ILL) and document delivery services. Manage these records and expenses in a spreadsheet.
″ Create monthly new book list on regional intranet page.
″ Monthly filing of maps in map room.
″ Organize, inventory, box and retrieve library items both to and from storage.
″ Assist with upcoming library relocation.
″ Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
″ Bachelor's degree
″ Previous library experience preferred.
″ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to read and understand library classification system call numbers : (alpha/numeric system).
″ Strong interest in working in a library with an environmental focus.
″ Ability to maintain accurate records in a database and on a spreadsheet
″ Experience with Microsoft Office products -- Word and Excel.
″ Ability and willingness to do repetitive tasks pertaining purchase, cataloging and loan of library items, and to maintenance of the library collection -- shelving, filing, moving of materials.
″ Excellent communication skills (oral and written) for working with EPA staff. Ability to accept guidance, support and assistance from library staff.
