The McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development/Center for Human Genetics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas ( www.utsouthwestern.edu ) solicits applications for a Research Assistant/Associate position in statistical genetics.
The research focus of the lab is methodological development of statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology including linkage, association, and population genetics toward the goal of uncovering the genetic bases of human complex traits.
Successful applicants should have a strong background in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, genetic epidemiology, or population genetics, and should hold a masters degree or above. Programming skill in R is required and skills in Java/C++ are desired.
