Responsibilities

The Project Manager for Tax Year End project and other projects of medium size and complexity within Consumer Operation Shared Services is responsible for managing, executing and delivering results on-time and on-budget in a dynamic, Operations-oriented environment. The position requires knowledge and experience meeting project goals according to specifications and business objectives. Effective leadership and team interaction skills are a must, including the ability to plan and organize work for self, the ability to make formal and informal presentations, and the ability to communicate effectively in business terms. Project Managers will manage full life cycle functional projects, interacting with various internal business units and external vendors.

Scope, plan and manage projects through the entire life cycle, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality. This includes ensuring that the solution is capable of enabling the business to achieve benefit realization as well as demonstrating understanding of the organizational impact of change

Responsible for accurate and timely reporting against the project plan and budget in line with agreed Program governance

Ensure each project adheres to the governance required by Program Office including the maintenance of full documentation and the existence of a fully-supported PIB, PCC or Workgroup as appropriate to each project or program

Perform and/or supervise the acquisition and analysis of data to identify business problems and opportunities

Build and manage relationships with project stakeholders up to a senior level to understand the context and impact of the project to the business line and ensure all stakeholders views are managed towards the best solution for all business areas impacted

Collaborate with others on Program team, identifying internal/external resources required to deliver the project

Deliverables to include: Problem/Opportunity statements, project charter, business case, business requirements, project plan, functional specifications input, RAID logs, decision logs, process documentation, decision criteria matrix and lessons learned documentation.

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge and proven application of Project Management methodologies and full project lifecycle including documentation standards, risk, issue, assumption and dependency management and change controls process

Familiarity with process modeling, workshop facilitation and business analysis

Knowledge of banking products and terminology

Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint , Word

Ability to create and foster a climate of adding value in delivering projects by striving for excellence and contributing to the overall development of Change Management

Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and teams within Operations

Self thinker able to work through issues and escalate only when appropriate

Identify the impact of project deliverables on the customer and ensure these fully support the customer proposition

There may be a requirement for travel within the US

Minimum Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

At least three years of project management experience leading complex projects

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related fields of study

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience leading business process or strategy projects in excess of $250K.

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM; required to work on New Year Day and weekends as needed.
