About the Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Brewery Market Representative - Brooklyn/Queens. The Brewery Market Representative works autonomously to ensure the successful sale and distribution of our products in current accounts throughout the assigned territory. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in existing On and Off Premise accounts through customer relations, proper merchandising, and samplings and promotions.
Ingredients To Be A Successful Brewery Market Representative:
Territory Management : Through Territory Manager’s direction, must achieve goals in Accounts by;
Maintaining a regular schedule of weekly appointments in assigned area
Maintaining product availability
Developing and maintaining effective customer relations
Handling customer inquiries
Responsible for 30 core accounts
Sales call, procedures, processes and skills
Understanding bracketing, concession management and negotiating tactics
Required 3 nights (Tuesday-Saturday work week schedule)
Merchandising : Must be able to practice BBC merchandising standards to include:
Executing POS programs at retail to standard
Maintaining proper brand positioning to standard
Executing the BBC freshness standards
Organizing and executing floor displays, cooler resets, and placement of neons and banners
Utilizing both permanent and paper POS
Promotions: Executes impactful promotions, both independently and with team members, at On and Off Premise locations
Knowledge: Must be current and fluent in;
Brand styles, national programs and brand strategy
Romancing beers to include style, ingredients and pairings
Brewing process, beer history and current trends
Administration: Deliver all administrative tasks under deadlines.
Budget Management : Must stay within all allocated budgets
To Be Mixed With:
10-15% of time, including to Region and Division Meetings as well as out-of-market help with promotions and festivals
Education and Prior Experience
0-1 year previous work experience preferred
Position Specific Requirements
Willingness to relocate
Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle with clean driving record
Ability to use own car to drive to and from accounts continuously
Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale frequently
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
