Position Description
Candidate’s key responsibility is setting up and maintaining DC infrastructure and overseeing NOC, and DC. Job duties include unpacking and racking machines, building cable racks, running and terminating cables. Candidate must be customer interfacing to answer phone calls and grant access to customer’s colo equipment.

Job Duties

Manage team queue on a ticketing system (Support Force)

Monitor all DC resources (power, cooling, and space).

Customer interfacing to grant access to customer’s colo equipment

Network cable patching.

Running and patching network cables.

Documentation of existing and future equipment and cables.

Required Qualifications

Good customer service and customer interaction skills.

Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on a variety of hardware.

Good technical communication skills.

Ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Good customer service and customer interaction skills.

Good organizational skills.

Ability to lift up to 50+lbs. Computer skills.

Desired Qualifications

General networking equipment knowledge and operating system set-up experience, in terms of ability to configure operating systems (such as changing IP addresses) to get machines set up on the network is a plus.

Although this position is more hardware and Data Center infrastructure than software focused, operating system installation and configuration knowledge is a plus.

Beginner to intermediate Windows (Windows 2000, 2003, and XP) and Linux (Fedora, Redhat, Debian, and FreeBSD) experience is a nice to have.
