The Radiology Services Assistant is responsible for switchboard duties, patient reception, registration and scheduling, related clinical information management, and contribution to the effective operations of the radiology department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: reception and switchboard activities; scheduling and ancillary order placement; facilitating patient registration flow; identifying services requiring point of service payment and collection and connected reconciliation duties; assistance with patient care services as required by modality; assistance with chart and film preparation; radiology information management, release of information; and other activities related to the operation of the radiology department. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years experience required:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of customer service experience in a professional business/medical office environment or six months’ patient registration experience.
• Computer skills, including online navigation.
• Previous Radiology experience preferred.
• All experience required within prior five years.
