We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant
in our Portland, ME office. Candidates who are

The primary role for the successful candidate for this
position will be to develop and grow work in New England
in one or more markets of interest through a combination
of business development and project management. This
role requires a minimum of 15 years’ experience in
environmental and regulatory consulting, and the
candidate having established client and industry
relationships in Maine and New England. Similar
experience in other regions of the country or in Canada
would be a plus. The market areas of primary interest
are renewable energy (wind and solar), hydroelectric
power re-licensing, and linear transmission projects.
Demonstrated individual success with proposal/grant
writing and developing and implementing new work (from
initial marketing to proposal preparation/delivery to
project award and implementation) is required.
The ideal candidate will have experience with local,
state, and federal regulatory agencies, including
presentation and negotiation skills. An MS and/or
appropriate professional certification (such as a Maine
PE/PG) are preferred. Fixed-price project management
experience and the demonstrated ability to successfully
manage and grow projects (up to and including projects
with budgets in excess of $1M) are highly desirable.
