Roquette is presently seeking an Engineering Specialist/Jr. Engineer at Roquette America's corporate headquarters in Keokuk, IA (relocation offered for this role!). In this role, you will be reporting to the Engineering group at Roquette Keokuk corn-wet milling facility and be responsible for completing engineering related tasks as assigned by engineering group project managers. This will include developing work scopes, designing building layouts, piping layouts and updating equipment drawings and P&IDs. This position primarily uses AutoCAD software to perform these assignments and to provide support to the Engineering group. The incumbent will work in close association with U.S. Operations and the Roquette Freres Engineering group in France, as well as external engineering resources, equipment suppliers, and construction firms. This position requires candidates to demonstrate a willingness to learn and work in a sophisticated and demanding industrial environment, strong interpersonal and overall communication skills, including face to face and written, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support as needed to the project engineering team Assure plant layouts and P&ID's are accurate and up-to-date Utilize CAD design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs Utilize knowledge of good engineering practices to design systems and complete drawings Maintain flexibility to handle several tasks concurrently and ensure that each is progressing as required
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree program required Recent grads are accepted for this role. Must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 If recent grad, must have Co-op/internship experience in a related industry Experience in a process related industry (corn wet milling, chemical, pulp & paper, food, pharmaceutical, etc.) preferred but not required Proficiency in AutoCAD - required Smartsketch experience desired/preferred Knowledge in piping and associated systems is desired, proficiency in process piping design preferred Demonstrated experience developing tasks, with project execution experience desired Demonstrated strong technical skills and understanding of technical engineering concepts Demonstrated behaviors including self motivation, strong organization skills and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to develop tasks and/or execute projects effectively Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated strong computer skills utilizing MS Office products BENEFITS: Competitive salary Performance bonus of up to 18% Relocation offered M/D/V benefits, Retirement, Life insurance, Disability Vacation Holidays Flexible Spending Accounts Ample opportunity for growth More!
