Key Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Transports patients to/from inpatient department or Emergency Room to/from Inland Imaging department.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and instruct patient in the appropriate preparation for exam
• Maintain clean, well stocked exam and dressing rooms
• Assist Technologists with patients as needed
• Ensures darkroom and screens are clean
• Rotate to other shifts and locations as needed
• Explains exams to patients
• May need to lift or transfer patients to exam table
• May position patients on tables and help them off tables once exams are complete
• Work with purchasing to order supplies
• May obtain detailed medical history and consents from patients
• May obtain referral for exam
• May include processing films
• May include working closely with Team Leader and technologists to best place patient exams
• Pull previous studies and reports
• Assist scheduling department with scheduling patients and call backs as needed
• Monitor quality control for processors
• Maintains current level of competence by pursuing continue education according to Inland Imaging and hospital requirements
• May handle bodily fluids after patient is done with exams.
• May clean scan, dressing and restrooms after patients.
• May assist in dressing or undressing patients for exams.
• May get patients blood chemistry results prior to exam.
• May assist technologist or nurse with contrast reactions or emergency situations.
o Recognize symptoms of contrast reactions.
• May monitor patients after procedures.
• Knowledgeable of hospital codes and infection status
• Must be familiar with all patient functions in IDX/Stentor
• May digitize films
• May print films from Stentor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required
• Experience: one year minimum experience in the medical field and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology preferred
• Licensure: No licensure required
• Certifications: None required
• Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Kronos; Imagecast; Stentor; IDXterm; Flowcast; Web Portals; IDX Mammography Module
• Ability to consider individual needs in communication with and assessment and treatment of patients of all ages
• Detail oriented, ability to multi task, work in a fast paced environment
• Background Check:
o Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
o In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Employees must not be included on this list.
• Drug Test: Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
