FACILITIES MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - 1st SHIFT

Custom Division’s Memphis facility procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of liquid personal care and OTC products.
We are immediately searching for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to join our Building Maintenance Team's 1st shift at KIK Memphis to provide provide support for plant as required and make specific recommendations for mechanical installations..
Daily Responsibilities:
Responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of all plant and ground equipment. Ensure projects are completed timely, correctly, safely and to the highest quality standard. Maintain a clean and safe production line or work area at all times.
Comply with plant safety standards, GMPs and current standard practices and all other plant policies/rules. Identify equipment problems before occurrence. Troubleshoot and maintain the following: boilers, DI water system, air compressors/dryers, hot water system (CIP), air conditioning units, heating units (seam and gas), various pumps, tanks, agitators, heat exchangers and chillers. Train team members Participate in CI team meetings. Perform and record preventative maintenance on all plant equipment. May be required to work directly with contractors regarding new or existing equipment issues. Performs all duties in a safe manner using proper tools and wearing appropriate protective equipment as required. Handle hazardous waste for the facility, which include but is not limited to moving, labeling, loading, inspecting and dispensing. Perform other duties as assigned Education/Training Required:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. At least 3 years building maintenance experience in manufacturing or related field. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. TN First Class Boiler License Must pass Drug Test and Background Check Special Requirements
Forklift Certification Physical Demands:
Must be able to physically endure work schedule. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to adjust and move equipment to complete projects. Will work on the interior and exterior of facility. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and conditions.
