Job Description

Amazon’s experience in retail, technology, digital content, and mobile services provides a strong foundation for development in this arena, and we’re moving aggressively to help our customers in new and innovative ways, leading us to launch the Amazon Appstore for Android.

We’re looking for an energetic, technically-savvy Vendor Manager for Amazon’s Mobile App business. As the Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for the Free App of the day promotion in the US with the day to day process of implementing this program.

In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through, the ideal candidate will be highly process oriented. This position is on a small team in a fast-paced environment so flexibility, a strong work ethic and a good sense of humor are a must. Above all, you will ensure we protect Amazon’s high quality mobile customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

BA degree 3+ years of experience managing accounts, customer service and/or projects Comfort working with a broad range of technological productivity and work-flow management tools including SharePoint and Excel.

Passion for mobile services Mobile industry experience encouraged Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to hit aggressive productivity goals without micromanagement Strong communication skills; the ability to partner with internal team members effectively Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals An ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire team An understanding of Amazon digital business and market position Proven ability to build and maintain vendor relationships Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in delivering a world-class customer experience (ideally in the digital content industry) Strong analytical orientation; comfort using databases and analytical tools and making data-based decisions Ownership orientation; ability to internalize goals and create appropriate action plans Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and appropriate tactical plans quickly Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
