The Instrumentation Repair Technician will perform repairs, test and certify instrumentation to meet quality standards, trouble shoot assemblies independently, train other technicians and field engineers, process repairs within a specified time period, input and provide data for operational reports, prepare instrumentation for customer training and demonstrations. Providing technical phone support for customers and field service engineers will be required. Maintain documentation of repairs including repair status, comments and condition classification. Additional responsibilities include maintaining current service manual library, assist with the creation and distribution of technical bulletins and troubleshooting procedures as needed.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
The position requires a High school diploma or GED. An Associate Degree in Electronics, Mechanical or a related technical area is preferred. Troubleshooting, assembly skills, ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, service documentation and test procedures are required. Previous technical experience on instrumentation used in histology, anatomical pathology or similar fields is preferred. The successful candidate should be proficient with test equipment used in the department, self motivated and an effective team player. The physical requirements include the ability to lift 150lbs.
