DEPARTMENT: Registrar's Office
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar will assist in degree auditing functions, graduation services, registration, and report writing.
POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES: Administers the undergraduate degree audit process. Maintains the degree evaluation system and prerequisites/registration restrictions within the ERP (Banner). Applies student adjustments to degree evaluations. Assists in implementation of new initiatives (technical and functional) to help improve processes and efficiencies within the office. Serves on curricular committees. Writes statistical reports and generates lists for Honor's Convocation, Commencement, Academic Standing, and information needed for other departments related to enrollment services. Adhere to university policies and FERPA. Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those enumerated above which do not alter the basic level of responsibilities of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree required. At least three years of experience in a university setting demonstrating ability to maintain detailed records, interpret and apply rules and policies, and relate effectively to students, faculty, and staff required. Proficiency in the use of computer applications is essential (Banner and Hyperion/Brio preferred; Access, Word, Excel). Master's degree preferred. Persons with equivalent combination of skills and experience may be considered.
