          We have an opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our folding carton plant in Joplin, MO. Please see the information below for details regarding this role:

          Expectations and Responsibilities

          Operational Areas of Responsibility

          Sheeting and Printing Department

          Cutting Department

          Finishing Department

          Reliability Department

          Shipping / Receiving / Warehousing

          Safety/Housekeeping

          Establish and sustain clean and well organized departments

          Instill a “proactive” approach towards safety with employee involvement

          Maintain housekeeping goals/objectives/procedures for shift

          Ensure safety rule compliance across shift

          Ensure housekeeping and organizational compliance across shift

          Ensure Safety is never sacrificed

          Quality and Continuous Improvement

          Lead with a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement – Safety, Quality and Productivity

          Ensure quality control plans are followed for quality excellence

          Work with employees on prioritizing improvement opportunities

          Ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented for internal and external customer complaints

          Ensure SQF and GMP compliance across shift

          Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations in product quality and service

          Human Resources

          Coach Leads and other key operating personnel

          Lead with a “Team Based” problem solving approach

          Ensure employees are effectively trained to meet expectations

          Determine Shift staffing needs

          Inspire commitment in others for individual and team objectives

          Ensure discipline is applied consistently and correctly across shift

          Reward, recognize and celebrate accomplishments and improvements

          Production and Cost Improvement

          Relentless focus on measurable continuous improvement

          Identify obstacles and develop and execute action plans to improve performance

          Lead teams to achieve Performance objectives

          Be innovative and creative with process improvements – “Think outside the box”

          Ensure production performance is measured

          Ensure shift receives performance feedback and updates on improvement plans

          Pay strict attention to costs – labor, materials, supplies and parts

          Work with Department Managers and Reliability Manager on work order trends and downtime reduction improvements

          Ensure effective preventive and predictive maintenance is followed for all equipment

          Knowledge and Skill Requirements

          Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

          Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.

          Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

          High School Diploma required, College degree preferred.

          Three years supervisory/leadership experience required.
