We are currently recruiting an Automation Engineer for our office in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Our Controls Engineer will interface with our valued clients on projects to develop automation solutions, participate in specification through integration and start up.
Potential candidates must have ‘hands-on’ experience in process automation and controls for a variety of automated manufacturing processes and equipment. Experienced in Panel Design, Network Architecture, PLC and SCADA design/programming including data extraction and data analysis. Skilled in SCADA packages from GE Fanuc iFix, and Wonderware Intouch, Wonderware Archestra graphics. Skilled in PLC programming packages from Siemens Simatic S7, S5 platforms as well as Rockwell Software RsLogix 5-500-5000. Understanding of ISA, ANSI, NEMA, NEC standards and cGMP, FDA regulations is a requirement.
BS Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other engineering curriculum.
5 plus years engineering experience with controls for automated equipment.
Skills and Abilities
We require solid technical skills with ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, and high level software such as SQL Server, Wonderware InSQL, Intellution iHistorian, AspenTech or OSI Pi, especially programming, troubleshooting and installation.
Your professional experience will demonstrate your computer skills, ability to handle multiple projects, communication skills, ability to diagnose automation problems and interact with teams, clients and vendors.
Flexibility for travel up to 50% is required.
