As part of the Media Products & Advanced Technology group, the Product Manager will
be a part of the Publishing team that sets the organizational roadmap for the Publishing
Platform. The Product Manager is responsible for transforming the Strategy defined by
the businesses of NBCUniversal to defined/actionable requirements in the product
backlog. This role reports to the Director of Product Strategy.

Working with NBCU brands and departments to elicit business requirements to
define product scope and features
  • Translating requirements into user stories, working with Project Management
team to ensure clear hand off of new projects, managing development sprints
and grooming product backlogs
  • Participating in ongoing program reviews of assigned product lines
  • Pitching product strategy and refining goals based on team and client feedback
  • Active participation in product development lifecycle of assigned products
  • Managing multiple products within one or more active programs
  • Ongoing research and analysis of market trends to inform product definition
  • Assist with implementation of publishing platform experiences Qualifications/Requirements BA/BS degree or 3-5 years work experience with proven history of increasing
responsibility and scope
  • Minimum 2-3 years technology or digital media experience
  • Minimum 2 years managing large projects with involvement from multiple
stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Product management experience, including definition of development
requirements for interactive products and technologies
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication and interpersonal skills Desired Characteristics 2-3 years experience in entertainment, new media, or related field
  • Working knowledge of online and mobile video management and publishing,
including experience working with online video platforms.
  • Experience with Drupal as a CMS and publishing platform.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Agile project & product management principles,
best practices and procedures of web development projects
  • Ability to influence and to perform work in a matrix environment
