The Communications/IT Consultant plans, develops, and coordinates internal and external communications programs to increase understanding of strategies and goals. Working with Senior Management, the Communications/IT Consultant develops communications to help increase awareness and understanding of programs and initiatives. He/she produces a variety of communication products, develops and implements communication plans and coordinates other communication resources as needed.
The ideal candidate must be able to apply an understanding of the duties and responsibilities of the position assigned; be able to explain to others the methods and techniques used in assigned work; and be able to evaluate and assess operating practices to determine adequate risk management and compliance standards. He/she will be responsible for contributing, with limited supervision, to projects, programs, and initiatives with medium-threat and moderate scope.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area of study (suggested areas of study include Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance/Security, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, and Business Management) and 3+ years’ experience involving work directly related to listed skills
Degrees from a designated Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE)
3-5 years’ directly related experience
Possession and demonstrated application of relevant certifications:
Core: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, ISC, CAP
Related: CISSP, CISM, ISC, ISSMP, CompTia, SANs, GIAC, PMP
