Currently, Meijer is looking for a Co-Prepared Foods Team Leader. The individual selected for this position will, through established processes, create a well-trained and knowledgeable team and work with them toward providing our customers with the freshest brands and varieties of Deli and Bakery products. The individual will be accountable for overall operations, profitability, processes and conditions of the Deli and Bakery departments (Starbucks where applicable). The Co-Prepared Foods Team Leader must also be customer focused as well as being sales and profit driven.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Hiring, training and scheduling team members
  • Mentoring of all Prepared Foods team members and provides ongoing training
  • Responsible for operations, profitability, following company processes and conditions of the entire Prepared Foods department
  • Following all food safety policies and practices
  • Responsible for ad set compliance, including ad signs
  • Proper usage of production planner
  • There is a 40 hours (non-exempt) pay base for this position
  • Other daily tasks as required

  • Successful completion of all required Team Leader and department related training

  • Ability to deliver a fast and friendly customer service experience to our customers
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all functions within each area of responsibility
  • Ability to work with a number of computer systems and reports
  • This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing
