Hematology Oncology Associates, a Division of Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, has an opportunity for a Patient Financial Service Representative to join our team of committed oncology professionals. The Patient Financial Service Representative (PFR) is primarily responsible for benefit eligibility and precertification functions as they relate to treatment - including chemotherapy and biotherapy. The Patient Financial Services Representative will attempt to seek maximum reimbursement on behalf of the Foundation through various external and internal programs and payment plans while assisting patients with payment of their bills. The Patient Financial Service Representative may assist patients by establishing payment plans when complete insurance coverage is not available and will provide education and support to patients and clinical staff regarding financial policies. High School diploma or equivalent is required with demonstrated proficiency with computer systems. Prior experience working in a medical practice is preferred along with billing and/or coding experience.
