Primary responsibility is the distribution of dictation to the patient care units on a daily basis. Resolves deficiencies for incomplete records utilizing the HMS system and re-routes records to the appropriate location. File loose reports, answer telephone calls and respond to requests from physicians and patients.
High School diploma, GED equivalent preferred or education and experience that equates to the same level.
Clerical experience recommended and basic computer knowledge (Lotus, Word, Excel) preferred.
Previous office experience of 1 year or moree preferred.
Ability to file in numeric or alpha order accurately required.
Customer service skills required and must be able to talk to customers via telephone or in person in a pleasant and helpful tone.
Must be able to use a personal computer
Must show proficiency in navigating a computer key-board.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information at all times.
