Job Purpose and Scope:

Under general direction of the President and EVP-Closing, responsible for timely and accurately processing and coordinating all loan closing functions at the Dallas office.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for timely and accurately processing and coordinating the loan closing process for the Dallas Real Estate Specialties office, including but not limited to the following:
  • Review and understand the lending parameters of each transaction;
  • Facilitate the utilization of outside counsel activities to limit overall costs to Bank’s borrowers;

  • Coordinate the engagement of appropriate legal counsel;

  • Coordinate all Bank closing activities with various parties to ensure a timely and efficient closing;

  • Review, evaluate and address various due diligence items (unresolved issues to be forwarded to President);
  • Draft and review all wiring and closing documentation;

  • Facilitate communications with Little Rock and Ozarks offices to insure streamlined closing;

  • Gather, assemble and review all items needed to develop a complete lending transcript; and

  • Assist in resolution of communication issues with Ozark and Little Rock involving post-closing items and transcripts.

  • Responsible for assisting with the resolution of loan administration issues, including “following-up” on exception items, post-closing items, and all loan billing.

  • Provide excellent customer service to external customers and internal Bank staff.

  • Professionally and timely, respond to customer calls. Research items for problem resolution and elevate to the EVP-Closing or President when issue cannot be easily resolved. .

  • Maintain good punctuality and attendance to work.

  • Follow all Bank and Division policy, practice and procedure.

  • Travel on company business.

  • Marginal Duties:

  • Assist President and EVP-Closing with other Bank-related opportunities.

  • Provide assistance to others in the Dallas office as needed.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. ARGUS is a plus.

  • Superior analytic and logistical skills.

  • Working knowledge of real estate loan process.

  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to discuss, in a professional manner, complicated issues and opportunities with substantial real estate owners and developers.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to work under general supervision.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and with exacting deadlines.

  • Ability to travel on company business.

    Position Requirements

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a paralegal or loan closer, involved in closing large commercial real estate transactions.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Business or Accounting/Finance degree preferred.

  • Banking experience preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
