The primary focus of this job family is to ensure compliance with all organization and government regulations as well as the development, implementation and evaluation of radiation protection, control and monitoring programs. These programs consist of Radiation Control, ALARA, Dosimetry, Instrumentation and Rad Waste Shipping
Focus areas include: Increasing responsibility, administrative skills and technical ability to provide procedure development and maintenance, unit self assessment and observation oversight, radiological investigations, preparation of technical reports documenting the bases of the RP program, outage RP management support roles, ERO qualification and EP program support.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years similar experience in radiation protection at a Nuclear Power Plant.
The candidate must have good math skills, radiation protection courses such as radiation physics or radiation protection fundamentals, and familiarity with Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations Part 20.
Four years of Nuclear Power Plant Radiation Protection experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree, or combination of education and similar experience totaling 9+ years.
