Define, coordinate and integrate ADC worldwide Supply Chain activities associated with on market changes and new product development and launches. These activities include coordination of artwork and packaging, in house and third part manufacturing, inventory phase in and phase out, procurement and all other manufacturing/operations/supply chain activities associated with launching new products and making on market changes. Will be responsible to track and report project status and progress to ADC Worldwide Supply Chain and Operations Management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate Worldwide Supply Chain functions associated with new product launch and on market changes for all configurations and markets from engineering development or on market change request through launch or change implementation. Coordinate and facilitate ADC product manufacturing launch plans and on market changes for multiple programs for all products such that needed commercial product volumes are available on time and that excess and obsolete inventory is minimized. Help to prioritize activities among several programs to balance resource availability, program status and schedule, and business need. Work with functional leadership to anticipate and solve problems, and work to breakdown barriers in program management. Participate in review meetings representing Worldwide Supply Chain and/or Operations plans including development, marketing, sales, regulatory, and operations Regulatory - Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.
ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
This position is responsible for the manufacturing and supply chain activities necessary for the successful timely launch of a quality product meeting the ADC business and product strategies. Successful launch of these programs represent typical ranges of 50 to 150 million annually in new ADC business over the LRP. Cost reduction programs associated with these will contribute a range of 5 to 15 million over the LRP. This position will report directly to the Manager level personnel in the Worldwide Supply Chain Organization. It provides leadership for all activities within the assigned specific project. Skills/Experience Requirements This position requires an understanding of the ADC customer and product base, a general understanding of Diabetes and its treatment, a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of the ADC product line, and an understanding of the business drivers. Several years of product development or manufacturing in a medical diagnostic retail or hospital product are desired. This position requires the ability to collect information from multiple sources, sort through, integrate, and resolve often conflicting requirements, and drive an organization through the various issues to result in a successful product launch. Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Medical Devices (e.g. QS regulations, ISO13485).
