The customer service Representative is responsible for the Order Management of customer orders for the assigned area. This includes, but not limited to, order placement and the accurate and timely execution of customer order fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities (including, but are not limited to):
Communications with both internal and external customers via phone, e-mail or EDI.
Receive and accurately manage customer orders from placement to invoice.
Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with the customers to ensure a full understanding of their needs to enable effective and cost efficient service and programs for both parties.
To act as liaison between external and internal customers. This is to include, but not limited to Sales, Accounting, Inventory Planning, Plant Operations, Transportation, and Business Development.
Monitoring of all orders in the area of responsibility to ensure timely and accurate communication of any issues.
Provide timely resolution of both internal and external issues that may impede the service expectations of the customer.
Key point of contact for all disciplines in the order fulfillment process with Sales and the customer.
Provide focus on Supply Chain efficiencies to drive costs from the process while maintaining or exceeding the Company standards of overall customer service.
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills both in written and verbal correspondence. Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and attention to detail when keying data are essential. Ability to make decisions that will service both the customer and the Company while understanding the cost impact to profitability. Strong organizational skills. Must possess forward thinking abilities and be innovative. Strong analytical/problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment Proficient in PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
1-3 years in a Customer Service role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
High School Diploma or GED Required
Associates Degree in Business, Logistics or Finance is preferred.
