The employee’s primary responsibility is to perform both on-site and deployed COTS system administration, hardware, software and network maintenance services supporting the AF Distributed Common Ground Stations (DCGS).
Raytheon is seeking current incumbents or interested individuals to fulfill the following positions for the DCGS program, located on-site at Otis AFB:

Computer Technologist: Will ensure system administration functions to include, but not be limited to:
Maintain workstation/server operating system software such as: Solaris, UNIX, and Windows.
Manage user accounts for workstation/server access; work with the Information Assurance Manager. (IAM)/Information Assurance Officer (IAO) to ensure that proper paperwork is on-hand for the accounts.
Manage print services and IP addresses for the printers where applicable.
Manage virus scanning software and updates where applicable.
Interface with government authority for approval of user accounts and network access.
Create and manage user directories on the workstations/servers.
Monitor workstations/server logs for errors and failures and perform appropriate troubleshooting and/or maintenance.
Perform workstation/server configuration management and documentation.
Perform backups and restorations of workstations/servers, where applicable.
Support site visits to include those for accreditation and security assistance.
Research new technologies and software upgrades to workstations/servers for familiarity to include keeping up with current technological developments.
Document System Administration procedures and instructions.
Troubleshoot workstation/server software problems.
Maintain network equipment.
Computer Technologist: Will perform hardware remedial maintenance (RM) required to maintain all COTS equipment within the AF DCGS System. They will will coordinate with the customer, and schedule all periodic maintenance (PM) necessary to maintain COTS equipment according to the OEM’s specifications, manuals, drawing, and best industry standards and HHQ direction. They will generate (using IMDS where available) monthly Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) schedules.

Required Skills and Experience:
Four years of experience providing System Administration / Network services for Windows, UNIX and Solaris workstations.
Requires previous experience supporting the COTS equipment at a DGS.
Experience managing user accounts for workstation/server access.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Must be able to work in a dynamic and multi-task environment and be capable of prioritizing work and de-conflicting task/project schedules
Must have good written and oral communication skills
Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or other technical field preferred. May substitute experience for education.
Other: Must have valid Driver's License.
