The Underpayment Recovery Analyst ("Underpayment Analyst") is responsible to the Patient Financial Services Denials & Appeals Manager and which supports and is fully integrated with organizational strategic plan and operational goals and objectives. S/he will be responsible for underpayment recovery. S/he will work collaboratively with other leaders within the center and throughout the hospital to achieve department, center and hospital-wide quality, satisfaction, and financial goals.
S/he must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction. May perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 4 Years General Patient Accounting experience with one year billing and collections experience. Hospital – specific experience and understanding of difference between Managed Care, Medicare & Medicaid. Experience with Preferred Siemens Invision.
SKILLS :
Required: Typing 45 WPM, 10 key, MS Office (Word and Excel), basic computer knowledge. osition requires basic business statistics such as averages, profit and loss, budgeting, etc.
