The Energy, Transportation and Metals Platform (ETM) seeks to hire a sales and origination professional, targeting the consumer segment in the energy derivatives space. The position will be a key role on Cargill's Go To Market Team, focusing on both financial and physical derivative markets for external clients.
This position may be located in Houston or Minneapolis
Assess and develop the consumer segment of the energy marketplace
Play an active role on the Go To Market Team's sales and origination activities by engaging in the following :
being the primary face of Cargill to their clients, and preparing presentations
analyzing historical data, assisting in account set-up, quoting prices, trade execution, reviewing structures, confirming trades, coordinating with accounting and trading teams
buidling relationships with both existing customers and new client
being the primary customer interface in conjunction with the various Cargill Trading and business development functions within the ETM platform
Strong understanding of the broader energy segments with an emphasis on knowledge of fundamentals and pricing dynamics
Broad understanding of derivatives and risk management strategies (both consumer and producer preferred)
Knowledge of commodities and capital markets and ability to understand the implications of market movements
Strong team player with demonstrated willingness to widely share knowledge and expertise
Strong business acumen, and an ability to connect with customers
Ability to prioritize, make decisions quickly, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical mind to get an-depth feel for both the complexitlities of the market, as well as the risks that our customers face
Ability to travel domestically 50% (estimated) annually if needed
Minimum of 5 years experience required in marketing, sales or trading in the energy marketplace
Proven skills at influencing customers and clients
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint
Bachelors Degree in business or finance related function
