Under general supervision, provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
Prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician.
Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol.
Observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity.
Collects, prepares and analyzes biologic specimens and prepares data for interpretation.
Follows radiation safety techniques when disposing radioactive materials.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field.
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum 2 years of experience in radiology. ARRT certified.
