The primary function of this position is to obtain kitchenware / utensils, dinning room dish and glassware, load racks into and operate dishwasher, unload, return and store clean items in the appropriate storage areas according to accepted methods and standards in a timely and organized manner ensuring health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintained.
Check work schedule for assigned duties, perform inspection of service room workstation, verify supplies and prepare for operations.
Set-up service room floor mats, trash cans, dish soap and set sanitizer buckets in place as required.
Obtain and set-up appropriate accessories, racks, buckets, bus pans, silverware baskets, drain boards, etc. as required.
Obtain kitchenware / utensils, dinning room dishes and glassware in bus pans and transport them to service room by hand or cart.
Separate items, scrape excess food and other material into trash, rinse and load into dish racks.
Push full racks into the dishwasher, add soap and close dishwasher door to begin cycle.
Remove cleaned racks from dishwasher when cycle is complete and push rack to drying area.
Unload dry kitchenware, dishware, glassware, silverware and utensil from racks, return and store items in the appropriate storage areas
Hand wash pots and pans and other tools and equipments in sink as required, dry and return to appropriate storage.
Assist Kitchen personnel with stocking, clean and secure kitchen equipment, freezers, refrigerators, microwave, salad unit and other duties as directed.
At the end of the shift clean / sanitize work area and equipment, re-stock supplies, empty trash and replace liners, clean walls, floors, floor mats, bus pans as required.

SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma / GED preferred.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time.
Must know safety information regarding all materials used within the scope of the work.
