Required Education and Experience:|
Bachelor’s Degree or any equivalent combination of relevant training or experience
Three years of progressively responsible experience in communications/marketing, event planning or project management
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media technology (Facebook, Twitter), website management or web writing, experience writing for web and print, excellent oral and written skill communications skills.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines. Must be able to work occasional weekend and/or evening hours.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or related field
Four + years in healthcare marketing/communications
Experience in direct healthcare marketing and branding, survey data such as Qualtrics
Texas A&M Physicians is a community practice of doctors under the umbrella of the Texas A&M Health Science ( TAMHSC ) Center College of Medicine. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Texas A&M Physicians ( TAMP ) will lead the marketing and communications efforts for TAMP , in conjunction with the College of Medicine communications director and TAMHSC Marketing and Communications staff. Following the overall TAMHSC communications plan, the coordinator will develop and implement a marketing and communications plan for TAMP and serve as project manager for all marketing, promotional materials, communications and events. The overall goal for this position is to increase awareness of TAMP in the Bryan-College Station community and increase patients/clientele.
Serve as project manager to coordinate TAMP marketing and communications projects produced by TAMHSC Marketing and Communications staff.
Work with TAMP staff, College of Medicine communications director and TAMHSC Marketing and Communications staff to develop and coordinate marketing and communication plans designed to advance TAMP goals, strategies and tactics (to increase clientele and patients) in coordination with TAMHSC communication plan.
Serve as an ambassador to the general public to foster community relations, liaising with chambers of commerce, area business and civic leaders to increase their awareness of the healthcare services offered by TAMP ; Pursue and develop opportunities via participation in community events or speaking opportunities for the TAMP professional staff. Establish and maintain a “Speakers Bureau”.
Pursue public event opportunities to market our business in the local community; plan and staff the events; will require occasional weekend and evening work hours.
Write for advertisements, promotional materials, fact sheets, websites, and more
Coordinate with website developer to ensure the TAMP website is current and up to date.
Provide budget oversight of the funds allocated to the TAMP marketing initiatives.
Support executive leadership in HSC / COM crisis communications efforts.
