As a Business Analyst, you will be tasked with leveraging both your creative and technical ability to blend with a talented development team dedicated to providing innovative solutions to our clients.
The ideal candidate will be able to specify and document functional and non-functional requirements that will be used to guide the software development efforts, containing clear and unambiguous usage scenarios and acceptance criteria.
You will be responsible for understanding the clients needs, determining solutions to meet them, and documenting the solutions so they can be implemented by the development team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Being onsite at client offices to gather requirements, document procedures and provide ongoing business process support for client operations Gathering requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Providing input into business processes evaluations and offerring ways to streamline or optimize procedures. Manage deliverables such as: Functional requirements Business r equirem ents Use c ases GU I, screen and i nterface design Collaborating with the development team to respond to feedback & questions from developers.
Four-year undergraduate degree or work-experience equivalent. Degree in Information Systems/Management Information Systems/Computer Science or related field is strongly desired. Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate into requirements 1+ year experience eliciting requirements from business partners and writing technical specifications. Basic experience with SQL/MySQL
Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation ability Self-motivated, and able to plan and prioritize work
Nice to have:
Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry experience Can set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment Experience with web development
