Position Summary:
The Center for HPV Prevention in the Department of Pathology is currently seeking a Data Manager. Manages and oversees collection and reporting of information from medical records in support of a public health surveillance activity. Trains and supervises staff conducting chart reviews, develops and updates data review instruments and interfaces with partners at hospitals, clinics and laboratories throughout New Mexico, assures data integrity, recommends procedures for data collection and prepares reports and documentation. Two positions are being sought for this job posting. One based in Albuquerque will travel to various sites throughout New Mexico. Another position will be based in Las Cruces and will travel to various sites in southern New Mexico, including Silver City, Roswell, Carlsbad and Socorro. This is a benefits eligible position. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. OR Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 4 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. OR High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with database applications, interface design and programming. Ability to develop quality improvement plan to monitor accuracy and reliability of data being entered. Ability to analyze data and develop reporting structure. Experience reviewing medical records. Experience adhering to strict patient confidentiality. Experience working in a women's health care setting. Experience training and supervising staff.
