JOB SUMMARY: Develop and manage a portfolio of projects (internal and external) which invent, develop and support the global goal of dramatically reducing the energy consumption (40%) and life cost (40%) of our sales and marketing equipment by the year 2020.Prioritized Responsibilities1. Lead the invention and development of new technologies that can drive a step change improvement in energy consumption of our equipment at an affordable cost, and develop new equipment solutions which can realise dramatic energy savings in the market place.2. Build the capabilities of the department by leveraging external expertise and build a strong global network of experts in the field of energy reduction and off grid solutions3. Build a strategic pipeline of technology projects4.
Build a strong internal network to ensure the work is understood and elements are deployed in the field development centres5. Support other R&D central research projects by sharing ideas and being part of cross functional teamsQUALIFICATIONS / COMPENTENCIES / SKILLS:Strategic Thinking: Must be able to view every situation and make decisions that balance short-term needs and long-term strategic objectives. Lateral Problem Solving: Must be highly creative and able to leverage concepts from non-beverage industries (especially electronics), and attack problems from multiple directions. Must also possess analytical and judgement skills necessary to effectively assess ideas from both internal and external sources.Deliver Results: Must be self-motivated and have ability to effectively focus and motivate resources.
Cross-Functional Relationships: Must be able to build good working relationships and communicate the role of Process Development to colleagues in R&D, Technical, Procurement and Bottlers.
