BASIC FUNCTION: Provides financial information and exceptional service to members. Identifies financial needs and promotes products and services to meet those needs. Assists Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager in the efficient and effective management of the Main Office Branch. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provides assistance to members seeking solutions on financial matters that relate to Credit Union products and services. Cross-sells various Credit Union products and services to ensure members financial needs are met. * Advise prospective members of the advantages of Credit Union membership. Enrolls members and opens new accounts.* Assists in setting and achieving branch goals for various Credit Union products and services.* Follows policy and procedure and understands compliance issues relating to Credit Union products and services.* Responds to and resolves questions and problems relative to member accounts and or refers members to appropriate departments for resolution. Responsible for achieving loan growth goals:* Interviews loan applicants to explain loan options, rates, terms and to obtain pertinent financial and loan information.* Performs preliminary review of members financial status to determine if the minimum loan criteria, established by the Credit Union is met. Prepares application and forwards to Branch Manager for review.* Informs applicant of outcome:* if approved, ensures that all terms and conditions are defined and understood by loan applicant. Prepares and disburses check.* if denied, suggests alternatives to restructure loan to meet Credit Union lending criteria.* Reviews and completes associated paperwork, disclosures, calculations, etc. necessary for all originated loan applications Responsible for achieving deposit growth goals:* Understands deposit products and services including membership, savings, checking, certificates of deposit, IRA and related electronic banking products and services.* Ability to sell and cross-sell the advantages of Credit Union products and services* Reviews and completes associated paperwork, disclosures and calculations necessary for opening, purchasing and closing a variety of accounts and electronic services. Performs related duties and special requests as assigned. May include, but not limited to:* Assumes the duties of a Member Account Representative and Member Account Coordinator-Front Line or Drive-Thru to support understaffed situations (i.e., running and balancing a teller window, servicing and balancing an ATM, handling cash vault activities, etc.)* Assume responsibility for Main Office Branch in the absence of Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager.* Compiles statistical data for monthly reports.* Providing back-up support to other branches in understaffed situations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Branch Manager, will occasionally be responsible for supervision of the branch staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include coaching, developing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems through a process of on-going communication

Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Notary Public and Signature Guarantee. NMLS Registration and annual renewal. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to sell or provide exceptional member service. Ability to operate a personal computer with a high level of proficiency in such software applications as word processing and spreadsheets. Ability to operate a fax, calculator, teller system and copier.
