Analyzes, designs and prepares application/system specifications for information systems solutions which address business needs and methods for testing and installing them. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user defined needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. May work with client management to identify and specify the complex business requirements and processes, and in the application design, testing and implementation process (e.g., diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.). Coordinates the activities with other IT sections (e.g., data base, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc.). Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis. Responsible for quality assurance review. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with an advanced degree preferred and at least five, typically seven years of solid, diverse work experience in IT, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience..- From business requirements, the Senior Systems Analyst / Systems Analysis Sr. Specialist will develop functional specifications, review and provide guidance on technical designs
Document Current State and Future State diagrams
Document business rules, Functional requirements & non-functional requirements
Analyze business workflow and system needs for data conversions & migrations
Analyze application and data problems to support troubleshooting efforts
Write database queries to support data analysis (SQL)
Conduct data mapping and map & gap analysis
Design and document process flows based on customer and IT requirements
Define and document business transformation logic and required business rules based on requirements
Generate buy-in to proposed solutions, participation in analysis and testing activities
Identify and document impacts to process or organization and provide recommendations for solution
Recognize scope limitations and raise potential scope issues, while designing best systems approach
Build strong working relationships with team members, including business and technical project participants
Ensure the quality of the Business Analysis processes through recognizing workflow optimizations and implementing them in a coordinated manner
Support the efforts of the Software Architect and other managers in the IT organization in developing a plan for the integration of multiple independent software systems.

An understanding or working knowledge of databases
Demonstration of a capacity to discern patterns and interdependencies in complex business processes
Demonstration of a capacity to focus on details, while at the same time tolerating or appreciating ambiguity
Business Process Modeling experience to visualize, document, model and analyze business processes for understanding and process execution
Experience eliciting requirements that lead to identification of business rules and functional requirements
Analytical and problem solving skills in business and technical environments
