The individual is required build a team of technical consultants to meet the growing demand for technical services amongst Eagle’s global client base. The Primary responsibility will be build and lead a small team of subject matter experts capable of deploying the Eagle product suite and providing consulting services around the technology stack that supports the tier-1 enterprise system. The consulting group lead by this individual will be responsible for providing clear communication as to Eagle’s Technical best practices on the implementation, deployment, maintenance and tuning of the Eagle product. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for identifying and exploring value-add opportunities with Eagle’s clients; this may be in the form of third party integration, tuning and benchmarking or technical deployment strategies – such as roll-out, capacity planning, data strategy, HA considerations and prototyping new add-ons to the core product. The individual will join a team whose goal is to improve technical relationships, reduce technical issues and act as the conduit between the client and product on technical enhancements and improvements.

The position involves providing highly-specialized technical consulting to Eagle’s global clients. The applicant must have 9+ years of experience in the technical consulting and/or analyst programming arena specializing in one or more of the following:
  • Database technologies (SQL Server & Oracle), RAC, 10g/11g
  • Designing and/or deploying virtualization strategies for multi-tier enterprise production systems
  • Development/integration experience using standard tools such as Visual Basic, ASP, Messaging (XML, Swift) Scripting (KSH, Perl, ETC)
  • Network or System Administration such as managing CISCO Networks or UNIX/Linux skills

Core Skills:
The candidate must possess excellent documentation skills and be able to work and communicate effectively with senior business management. This candidate will frequently interact with director and C-level business and technology experts whom are Eagle’s clients and must be effective communicating in many different scenarios. This individual may have global counterparts which they may be expected to collaborate on a number of joint initiatives; including Installations & Upgrades, best practices training, troubleshooting, performance benchmarks and custom integration. The candidate must be degree educated in a science discipline and must understand the core technologies that underpin modern software development, especially data management and messaging technologies. Experience in the financial services industry and knowledge around the technology/operational security requirements that surround financial systems is advantageous.

This senior consultant will have direct reports that hold high specialized technical skillsets and be expected to provide strong leadership to the group and professional development opportunities for the individuals. This person will be asked to grow a team that currently exists and be comfortable with the recruitment of new hires as well as performance management of employees; therefore, an ideal candidate would also have experience onboarding and managing high performing technology professionals.

The candidate must be degree educated in a science discipline and must be genuinely interested in the core technologies that underpin modern software development. Whilst specific 3rd party certifications are not required it is advantageous.

Travel is required (25-50% is common) mostly in North America, however, travel outside North America may be required.
