We are seeking an experienced Technical Release Manager to support our client near Bedminster Township, New Jersey. This is a 6 month, salaried position, with a possible 12 month extension.

The most critical area of focus for this position is supporting and coordinating complex and large-scale software releases that primarily enable customers, as well as those who directly support customers, to effectively utilize goods and services with a high degree of consistency and quality.

Capacity Planning & Forecasting
• Environment Planning & Readiness
• Software Delivery Planning & Forecasting
• Stability Assessment
• Functional Test Coordination
• PVS Regression Analysis
• Acceptance Certification
• Implementation Planning & Execution
• Post Production Impact Analysis
Receive and provide guidance as necessary to deliver priority results by working closely with multiple groups - including internal clients, Business Analysts, Development, QA, Network Connectivity, Program & Project Management, IT and Business Unit management.
• Capacity related information gathering and analysis correlated to all aspects for Enterprise IT spanning datacenter and infrastructure concerns to release and project dependencies.
• Update established deployment documentation and procedures accordingly based on the particular software version changes + deployment post mortem/lessons learned
• Work with various internal groups to schedule external client deployments and maintain the inevitable changes via the upgrade/ patch release calendar
• Comply with Change Management guidelines and utilize ticketing system to ensure that QA/Production environment integrity is maintained
• Execute automated reports in a timely manner and escalate any issues, as delivery of the reports for internal client signoff is a prerequisite to the actual production deployment
• Manage the distribution of installation/update plans, instructions and release notes to all clients
• Identify new tools/technologies and possible areas for automation that will make the deployment process more efficient, reliable and cost effective
• Employ process modeling/engineering/documentation techniques to resolve group handover issues as necessary
• Actively participate in Release Management group meetings/discussions
• Self-starter that requires minimal guidance once scope and deliverables are outlined
Required Skills / Experience:
Minimum 4 years of Release Management, Software Development, Project /Program Management, or IT Operations
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle with from requirements, scope, design, development, testing, and delivery. Hands-on experience in multiple aspects is required.
• Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to effectively work with employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to meet time demands without compromising quality
• Demonstrated skills in working with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as being detail oriented with a high level of organizational skills
• Must demonstrate basic knowledge of all of the below, as well as demonstrate significant knowledge and expertise in 3 or more of:
o Compliance & Risk Management
o Certification & Test Management
o Data & Configuration Management
o Build & Integrity Management
o Deployment & Environment Management
o Technology & Capability Management
Desired Skills / Experience:
SharePoint, Business Analytics or Reporting platforms (ex. Cognos, etc.), and/or Scripting language experience (ex. VB Script, Perl, Ruby, etc.) is considered a plus
US Citizenship, Green Card, or EAD is required
