Title: Supervisor Maintenance Assembly Position # 4058Organization: Lean Organization Reports to: Manager Location: Chattanooga, TN Competencies Innovation Team work Customer focus Performance driven Change leadership Problem solving Quality Organizing Planning Role Summary The idea candidate must have experience in an automotive or Tier 1 environment in maintenance, performing in a supervisory role. Candidates without experience need not apply. The Supervisor Maintenance is responsible for managing maintenance within the assembly area. This position will lead Team Leaders, production/Skilled Team Members, and Administrative Team Members in an automotive manufacturing environment to meet and exceed company goals and objectives. Responsible for the maintenance, and process osts of assigned areas. Qualifications (Skills & Experiences & Education) Years of experience: 5-7 years job related experience, automotive background preferred Education Desired: 4 year or Advanced degree in engineering or related field preferred Skills •Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic •Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written •Computer savvy – skilled in the use of various software •Integration – joining people, processes or systems •Influencing and negotiation skills •Problem solving •Resource management •Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and Siemens S7 experience preferred •Experience in supporting large high paced manufacturing environment
Skills •Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic •Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written •Computer savvy – skilled in the use of various software •Integration – joining people, processes or systems •Influencing and negotiation skills •Problem solving •Resource management •Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and Siemens S7 experience preferred •Experience in supporting large high paced manufacturing environment Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role Required: •Positive employee relations/team building •Maintenance management •Lean/visual systems •Continuous improvement Specialized skills Desired: •TPM knowledge •Project management •Implementation of engineering changes •Environmental and waste management knowledge Work flexibility (travel requirements, work schedule, etc.) Travel – 10-50% initially, 5-10% after SOP (Start of Production) Work Schedule – Will vary based on project progress and initiatives Role Responsibilities •Lead teams in an automotive manufacturing and engineering environment to meet and exceed company goals and objectives •Manage the maintenance process to ensure processes meet safety standards, quality standards •Assuring highest equipment availability by arrange TPM •Create a continuous improvement environment to develop best in class production system •Cooperation with Health & Safety and audit teams •Recognizing and rectifying bottleneck situations •Monitoring the work regulations and accident prevention regulations •Instructing the teams in the companys objectives •Providing instruction and guidance about required techniques and regulations •Recording absence and presence of employees and teams as well as supervising apprentices and interns •Controlling the deployment of personnel in unusual production situations •Guiding, evaluating and supporting employees •Guaranteeing that production is on schedule and with the required quality This role description is a guideline and does not create contractual rights between the Company and any of its employees.
