The Supervisor of Network Engineering is a critical member of the Enterprise Infrastructure organization, reporting to the Manager of Network & Security Services. This position leads a team of Network Engineers to provide solutions that contribute to the growth and stability of Availity’s network. The team is responsible for the design and support of a multi-regional MPLS backbone, four datacenters, three corporate offices, and a growing remote worker community. This includes design, engineering, troubleshooting, maintenance and upkeep of all voice and data network equipment and capabilities.

Responsible for the management and career development of the staff supporting these functions
Build and sustain highly functional relationships with technical and business partners
Deliver cost effective, scalable and highly available infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements
Maintain awareness of industry trends and issues with Enterprise and Data Center Networking technologies
Maintain focus on continually improving practices and capabilities
Support and maintain the data network infrastructure for the Enterprise
Collaborate with vendors and help manage vendor relationships
Own network infrastructure projects, from inception to deployment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field or equivalent in comparable work experience within the network field.
Juniper, Cisco, or F5 Enterprise, Voice, or Service Provider certifications preferred.
Experience implementing and maintaining Cisco Call Manager, Unity Connection, and UCCX preferred.
Experience managing and supporting Enterprise Network Engineering Teams
Broad knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure concepts and best practices
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ten or more years experience in the related technology fields
3+ years supervisory experience
Expert in network technologies
Experience handling operations, engineering (implementation/deployment), and design/architecture in the related fields
Excellent communication skills; must be able to interface with all levels
Significant experience with Cisco (IOS/NX-OS) and Juniper (JUNOS) equipment.
Open-minded, adaptable and passionate about learning
Proven ability to deliver strategic plans for the organization to meet long term goals and successfully implement those plans
