The Payment Hub Senior Architect will be an experienced 'hands-on' leader to address JP Morgan's Payments integration requirements using transaction management techniques, high throughput design, Services Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Business Process Management (BPM) / Workflow capabilities. The Senior Architect will be responsible for design, governance, and implementation of a new 24 x 7 capability for processing over 22 million transaction per day. The Payment Hub will integrate over two dozen client-facing payment channels with about the same number of back end clearing systems globally. This role will require working with project, architecture, and development teams across Treasury Services in the channel and back end technology organizations. In order to support additional payment flows from Commercial Banking, Retail, Cards, Mortgage Banking, Custody, Equities, Commodities, Fixed Income, and Prime Services the candidate will need to understand and implement their integration requirements as well. This person will also provide strong governance over features developed by other Treasury Services teams that are introduced into the Payment Hub to support their needs and others' across Treasury Services. The individual will manage all aspects from business requirements to logical and physical design. The scope of the Payment Hub spans the full transaction management lifecycle from acquisition, through cleanse, transform, classify and storage to presentation, distribution, security, privacy and archiving. The key technical interests of the Payment Hub Architect should include high volume messaging, in-memory processing, design and development of distributed services, and dynamic SOA orchestration, as well as databases (relational, hierarchical and object-oriented), file systems, and storage management. Must be capable of designing centralized or distributed systems that both address the user's requirements and perform efficiently and effectively. Finally the integration architect will be responsible for managing the appropriate relationships with the appropriate Operations and Client Service groups, and participate in overall governance of the JP Morgan payments practice.Roles and Responsibilities Identify integration opportunities across multiple Lines of Payment channels and Back End Clearing systems to enable simpler processing infrastructure, elimination of redundancies, and modernization of infrastructure Collaborate with Development teams to develop integration design and where appropriate prepare estimates on design and development services for integration initiatives Develop common Reference Integration Architecture ( e.g. SOA, Data, Messaging) with firmwide architecture standards; support and standardize usage of the Firmwide Engineering and Architecture Messaging Bus Lead the design and development of components, services, standards and methods that constitute the Payments Integration architecture Establish governance to maintain consistency of integration assets such as business services, processes, and configurations Coach all parties throughout the project and program implementation cycle (i.e. requirements, development and testing) in following the initial design concepts Information share with colleagues through a constant communication and awareness of initiatives Advise and commission development of common service wrappers, APIs and libraries as appropriate Review and analyze new and modifications to services including configuring and mapping of messages, coding, testing, debugging and deployment of artifacts in compliance with the Reference Integration Architecture Collaborate with other architects within each Line of Business as appropriate
Required SkillsB. S. or B. A preferably in Computer Science or related field Proven track record of delivering successful large scale integration projects Deep knowledge and experience in building and enhancing high volume transaction processing system, and using systems integration technologies including Software Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management (BPM), and related standards and technology. Good understanding and experience in monitoring end-to-end business processes.
