Position Description:

Provides HR consultation to multiple business units or multiple departments within the mortgage division of Ally. Supports HR Manager/Director in implementing HR projects/initiatives, policies and procedures, compensation strategy and planning , and act as primary HR partner to assigned business leaders. Performs high level staffing / recruiting functions. Addresses training needs and performance management of business uni. The HRBP must be resourceful and flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of the company.

Principal Accountabilities:

Applies business knowledge and Enterprise goals into strategic activities, executes strategies and methods in alignment with enterprise goals and HR practices.
·
Trusted advisor and valued business partner at Sr. Leadership/Executive level, seen as leader both inside and outside HR, frequently sought and taken as partner, strong and proven track record of empathy and credibility, maintains confidentiality and acts with integrity.
·
Strong knowledge of the industry, competition and the business, able to incorporate the role of HR into business plans and strategies, able to take appropriate actions and influence business response and strategy, able to contribute to the input of Enterprise vision / mission and organizational philosophy.

Acts as a coach and mentor to managers and supervisors and offers creative solutions to sensitive issues using multi-disciplined approach. Will have a proven track record of resolving complex HR issues across departmental boundaries. Will possess the ability to effectively manage highly sensitive and volatile issues that impact multiple departmental organizations. Will have demonstrated ability to facilitate effective group interactions.

Evaluate and analyze data and information from HR and business reports to determine HR issues impacting the business unit. Identifies and investigates opportunities to integrate technology into effective business practices.
Primary Duties Day to Day:
·


Assist managers and employees in resolving employee relations issues
·
Provide compensation guidance: pay for performance culture and support annual compensation planning process
·
Supports change management and process improvement initiatives
·
Compile HR reports, audit, and ensure data integrity.
·
Support performance management culture including management and employee development initiatives
·
Partner with Talent Management team on recruitment needs for business
·
Partner with Finance to ensure headcount and business plan alignment
·
HR policy interpretation
·
Assist with on-boarding of new employees
Education and Experience
·


Advanced University / Post Graduate degree preferred;
·
knowledge of HR disciplines and theories as represented by 8+ years HR experience with 6+ years as HR Generalist, strategic planning experience
·

Ability to use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways.
·
Ability to use judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions.
·
Strong communication skills: listening, verbal and written.
·
Ability to manage performance, coach and mentor; provide training.
·
Superior knowledge of employment law; independently manages complex ER issues.
